Day 8 – Review Your Big Why
Monday mornings can be quite tough sometimes. This is always the best time to review your big “why.” If the alarm goes off and you try to hit snooze, don’t – regret is worse than than losing 15 minutes of sleep. If you think about how miserable your job is, don’t – God is preparing you with specific skills for your big purpose. If you say I think I will sleep in today instead of exercising, don’t – Your heart, lungs, and muscles are screaming at you to get moving. You most likely will read this after you get out of bed (it would be great if you were reading these blogs as your morning positive good-stuff, but I am realistic) so no matter what happened this morning, you have the opportunity to make great decisions for the rest of the day. If you missed the workout this am, find 12 minutes at the office during lunch. If you forgot to pack your lunch, do not be tempted by the fast food run with the rest of the office. If you are thinking about skipping your adjustment, think again. Your why/life depends on it.
I would like to say how proud I am of each and every one of you participating in the 28 day challenge. Can you believe the first week is over? I never said it would be easy, but it is doable, and each of you is succeeding. Do not give up no matter what happens. Sometimes people come to me throughout this and they feel ashamed as state, “I’m sorry but I feel off the band wagon.” There is no wagon to fall off of, just get back up and keep going. Hit the delete button and figure out how to get 1% better every day. Plain and simple! Go make your Monday great!
